As a Data Engineer you will support the business by maintaining and further extending the data infrastructure and the applications used for reporting, data analysis, client servicing, etc. You will work in close cooperation with all stakeholders in other teams as well as external (IT) parties, data scientists, programmers, providers of data. It is important to oversee and coordinate multiple IT projects simultaneously and manage project teams as you will become a deputy team lead and give guidance to IT-juniors. It is your responsibility to support in all phases of the development lifecycle starting with analyzing and estimating business requirements, designing, implementing, and testing the solutions, and finally deploying and maintaining the software. Your work ensures that data is accessible, reliable, and usable for data analysts, data scientists, and other users within the organization. To achieve this, you design data architectures such as data lakes, data warehouses, and pipelines.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or a comparable study
- Experience in coding in Python and SQL (MS SQL)
- Experience with database architecture, data warehousing and data pipelining
- Experience in working with CI/CD practices
- Experience in C# and cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, constructively and professionally
